In the olden days, many young boys were castrated before their voice changed to keep alive the beautiful high sound that these boys could create. The practice is frowned upon today since there are other trainings that can achieve this same falsetto. So the question is now, how to sing falsetto? It is a lot easier than one would think. it is a simple way of changing the way of singing. Instead of singing from the chest, use of the upper throat is utilized creating the outer edges of the vocal cords to vibrate instead of the whole vocal cord. No longer is the singer limited to high or low, falsetto allows for a wonderful performance without the extreme measures.
