USDA protets the organic food buyer

If a product is labeled or sold as organic it must meet strict standards set by the USDA. It is the law. If it is discovered the food being sold as organic and it isn’t the law will come down hard on the store and even harder on the farmer if it is discovered that the farmer said it was organic when selling it and it didn’t meet the guidelines to be able to call it organic. This law give the consumer peace of mind when they purposefully go out to buy Organic Foods. True organic food is just healthier and we need this peace of mind when shopping.
