The right prostate cancer treatments should be discussed with your doctor.  Your health condition, the stage and spread of the disease and your overall health are factors to be considered when undergoing prostate cancer treatment.  Depending on the progression of the disease will determine if removal of the prostate and lymph nodes or hormone therapy is the most successful choice.  Radiation therapy, external beam and radio active pellets, have also proved to be a viable treatment source.  Unfortunately a complication of the radiation therapy is impotency within two years of the treatment.  A proper prostate cancer treatment should be suited to the patient after reviewing the risks with each option.
