E-LI-LI pair of vases by Alessi design by Massimiliano and Doriana Fuksas

With Massimilano and Doriana Fuksas, the developments of "Tea & Coffee Towers" experiment led to the creation of another product destined for mass manufacture. Taking the shape of the silver coffee pot, the two designers have now created for Alessi the "E-LI-LI" pair of vases, the balance of which plays on the diversity of materials and dimensions.

The smallest vase, made of stainless steel with shiny external finish and opaque interior, is made with various operations of folding and welding. The base is brought up and welded to the body.

The larger vase, however, is in semi-grès, a hard, non-porous ceramic made with a manufacturing cycle that requires an initial firing of raw bisque at around 1000°C, the application of enamel, which is then fired at 960°C, and finally the application of colour with firing at around 800°C. The internal finish is shiny, and the exterior is opaque.
