Young kids on bad TV shows

Ever wonder what happened to the stunning toon series we used to experience as children back in the mid-eighties? You know the ones, My Little Pony, Care Bears, He-Man and She-Ra and the the likes of? They were a thousand times warmer than the poppycock on tv set now. I flicked over from the news where I was following a story about a chinese lantern that drifted out over the ocean and the coast safeguards had it confused with a distress signal, to find a very upsetting children’s program indeed. It was almost like a children’s soap opera and these kids were about twelve years old!
