My Financing Nightmare

I picked out a brand new Saturn, and was thrilled with the car. It was my first “new” car ever. I happily signed the dealer’s financing agreement and drove off the lot. I had no idea what was in store for me! About six months into my loan, I broke my leg and was out of work for six weeks. I called the dealership and was told there was nothing they could do for me, no chance to defer any payments as I had heard my neighbor had done. A few years later, I realized that the amount left on my loan was significantly more than the darn car was worth! I decided to re-finance, only to discover I would be paying a hefty fee for doing so. Moral of the story, be sure to do the research, read the fine print, and know what you are getting into when it comes to Car Loans.
