As A Student You Do Not Understand The Reason For MLA Format Research Paper

When I was in college, we had this teacher who was very specific when it comes to school work.  I never really understood why she wanted our papers to be a MLA Format Research Paper. I figured it was just a power trip.  You know her being a teacher and all and us being students, powerless.  Haha! Seriously speaking, eventually I understood that there are certain "rules" that we have to follow when it comes to writing.  It gives order to an otherwise choatic writing world. Plus this is to give way to those who pioneered ahead of us.
