Credit repair services are a dime a dozen so it is important to know if you are getting scammed when you find one that you want to try.  There are some tell-tale signs that the credit repair services you find are just after your money.  For example, if they want you to pay for credit repair services before they provide any services, or if they do not tell your legal rights and how you can do it yourself for free.  If they recommend that you do not contact a credit reporting company directly they could also be scamming you.  If the credit repair services suggest that you dispute all the information in your credit report or do anything illegal they are most likely scamming you.
