Why use a solar water heater?

Everyone is talking about going green. I feel like we are being invaded by frogs.  Well, time to jump on the bandwagon.  I’m going to build a Solar Water Heater.  I think that is an easy green project that even I can do.  I will still need to be on the electricity grid but it is a first step in the right direction. I think there might even be some tax breaks in Obama’s new 820 billion dollar stimulus package.  That sure would entice me to build the solar heater this coming April. That way I can relax all summer long.
